We know how important visualization is in being able to manifest what we desire using the Law of Attraction. So doesn’t it make sense to try to utilize this more fully?
The most common way we visualize is to sit quietly in a meditative state, imagining and seeing and feeling those things we desire. This is a wonderful exercise, vitally important, and should be practiced regularly.
However, it is not always practical to sit down and use this technique during certain times. Additionally, we limit ourselves somewhat if we get tied into thinking this is the only way to visualize. How might we incorporate visualization more into our daily routines?
One way is to take 5 minutes first thing in the morning and visualize the upcoming day. Try to see yourself at the end of the day, with the day having been very successful. If there is a project you need to complete that day, imagine how content and satisfied you will feel at the end of the day after having done a terrific job. Enjoy the feeling of accomplishment.
Try this each morning for 2 weeks. Take 5 minutes and visualize the successful end of this new day that is just beginning. Remember to engage all of your senses – sight, sound, smell, touch, taste – and especially, your emotions. ‘Feel’ how great you feel at day’s outcome. Give it two weeks – I guarantee you that you will be amazed by the results.
Another method is sometimes known by the term “as-if.” This simply means to act “as if” you have already obtained that which you desire. This is very important in manifesting your desires. It is also another form of visualization when practiced as described below.
There are countless opportunities throughout the day to practice this. For example, let’s say your desire is to lose 20 pounds and be healthier. As you are brushing your teeth in the morning in front of the mirror, begin to see yourself healthier. Imagine yourself thinner as a result of the healthy choices you are making this day. Act As If!
If your desire is a new car, imagine that ’89 Nissan you are walking out to in the morning is actually your dream car. As you drive it to work, feel how comfortable the seats are, how smooth the ride is. Obviously, this IS NOT an exercise wher you want to close your eyes and relax! But imagine the new ride, act as if!
As you walk into work, imagine your cubicle to be that corner office you desire. As you pull into your drive at home, imagine pulling into your dream home, if that is your desire. See how this works? See how many opportunities there are to practice this? Let it become routine for you.
Of course, as you imagine your day first thing in the morning, and you act “as if” throughout the day, remember to practice Gratitude. Be thankful for what you have, and what is coming to you. Be grateful for the corner office and the new car, even if they are not in your possession yet. Act As If, and Be Grateful!
If you can incorporate the practice of visualization into your daily life, as well as continuing to practice the more ‘traditional’ meditative visualization methods, your results are bound to come more quickly.
Stick with it, and let me know how it’s going!
